My first full-time job as a graphic designer was at Restoration Place. At the time, that small local church plant was the place where I began my career as a designer and learned a lot about what it takes to craft and maintain a brand, lead a creative team, and create results for an organization. So, when the leadership at the church reached out to me in 2023 and asked if I would help them refresh their brand, I was beyond excited.
No longer a small church plant but now a thriving community of over 1500 members, Restoration Place wanted their brand to better reflect the culture and style of their ministry. They also wanted help fleshing out their values, vision and mission statements, and overall brand language.
Some of the defining traits of the church that I knew I wanted to emphasize was just how diverse and energetic the community it. One of the only churches in the area with a demographic makeup that actually reflects the city, passionate and expressive worship services that encourage people to find God’s purpose for their lives. There was a lot I wanted to communicate through this brand, but I also wanted to make sure that I delivered a strong brand mark, and a style guide that could stand the test of time.
